Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 9:30 am, I was flying in Garuda plane and landed safely at Bali's Ngurah Rai airport. This time I came to Bali for a very special occasion from my previous arrivals. My friends and I who are members of Berlari Untuk Berbagi will be participating in international sport event called "BII-Maybank Bali Marathon 2012" that will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012.

Indeed, the thing that makes us special trip this time is not about the race we’re going attend, but this time with BII-Maybank we do a kind of social action by visiting Yayasan Bumi Sehat (YBS), and provide educational assistance by building a house of readings for the kids and the community. This is in line with the vision of Berlari Untuk Berbagi which is running to raise donations.

It took about an hour from the airport to Yayasan Bumi Sehat clinic that’s located in area of Nyuh Kuning, Ubud. At our arrival there, my friends and I were greeted by the founder of Yayasan Bumi Sehat Mrs. Robin Lim; she is the winner of CNN Heroes of the Years 2011. Mrs. Robin deserves regarded as Hero indeed. She has inspired us all to always care for others, so that the environment surroundings can get benefit from our existence. At Bumi Sehat clinic, my friends and I and the entourage of BII-Maybank could get the chance to take a look around YBS clinic, Mrs. Robin also showed us some maternity room as well there. There is something special and unique at the Bumi Sehat clinic is that they also perform new sciences about giving birth such as water birth, gentle birth and lotus birth.

Mrs. Robin has brought back the philosophy of "giving birth alone" by relying on the power of love to the women struggling to give birth to her son risking their lives. Mrs. Robin believes that birth is the result of love that the process should be allowed to run its course, with the help of a natural hormone of love itself. Thanks to the aura of love and the glory that always transmitted by her, until now Yayasan Bumi Sehat has been helping hundreds even thousands of Indonesian families, especially mothers who are less able to get through the period of pregnancy and healthy giving birth process comfortably and free.

As we leaving the clinic, we then went on foot to a place where they’re currently building a reading house called Youth Center Yayasan Bumi Sehat. We are welcomed very well here with various dance performances, vocal group and a show performed by the students of YBS. As planned, Berlari Untuk Berbagi will build a reading house that will be not only for students of YBS, but also will be a public place for the community to gain more knowledge, get information and general knowledge scattered around them.

After the ceremony of the groundbreaking for the construction of Rumah Belajar Youth Center of Berlari Untuk Berbagi, in the last session, BUB was given the opportunity to give some teaching materials for English to approximately 50 students in YBS. Led by Patrick Kalona, one of my friends from BUB runner team, we presented a number of games to children that sometimes they had a burst of laughter because of it. Fulfilled, that's all I can say seeing those kids enthusiastically receiving a new fresh atmosphere of knowledge from us. Joyfulness, moved and happy to interact with them and I am sure that can never be paid by drops of sweat we will perspire tomorrow in the race.

There are other things I should admit, is that to interact with disadvantaged children and that Berlari Untuk Berbagi could help them a bit to make their dream to have a reading house comes true, is only a small part of the struggle that has been initiated previously by the Hero. This is nothing compared to the footsteps that have been inscribed by Mrs. Robin Lim the hero. Just imagine, she has sacrificed part of her life to dedicate herself wholly to serve the community.

I shook my head in amazement when I saw her charming aura sown wherever she goes; almost everyone who met and talked with her will be given a sincere kiss and hug while saying 'I love you.' For a moment there I could feel the power of love transmitted by her. With the touch of love from a very special figure Robin Lim, Yayasan Bumi Sehat clinic has now resonated its voice all over the world. The voice echoed waking up the world that mothers and children should be treated with love. Indeed, a remarkable story of the martyrdom of Mrs. Robin for Indonesian children. At least it will continue to inspire us that life should be filled with love that we always want to help others.
